Anushka Sharma, during the shoot of PK had told Rajkumar Hirani and Aamir Khan that she had auditioned for 3 Idiots.
Aditya Chopra’s desire to keep Anushka Sharma a secret prior filming Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi is no longer unknown. The actor, who turns 35 today, stated on the episode of The Romantics that the director begged her to keep her debut a secret from her parents and even wanted to keep it a secret from the press. Not many people are aware that she also tried out for the role of Kareena Kapoor in 3 Idiots, despite the fact that the film marked her spectacular film debut opposite Shah Rukh Khan.

Anushka Sharma had given Rajkumar Hirani and actor Aamir Khan her audition video when PK was being filmed. Along with Sharman Joshi and R Madhavan, Hirani and Khan collaborated on the film 3 Idiots, which starred Kareena Kapoor as the lead actress. Anushka addressed the camera at the beginning of the video and announced that she will soon reveal a significant secret. She continued by saying that she had tried out for the main part in a significant movie in 2007.

Anushka averted her face in shame as Aamir and Rajkumar stared at the footage in shock. She was praised by Aamir for crying throughout the part sans glycerin. He also made fun of the director for turning her down despite the fact that she performed so well on the test. The trio then exclaims in amusement at the coincidence and requests that the group take pictures of their emotions.
In 2008, Anushka Sharma made her acting debut in the movie Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi.
