Pathaan box office collection Day 13: The Shah Rukh Khan actioner is on its way to becoming the second highest-grossing film in India followed by SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali 2.

The Shah Rukh Khan-starrer Pathaan, which marked his comeback to starring roles after over four years, has broken many records since its release on January 25. Now, it is on track to becoming the second highest-earning Hindi-language release in the country, leaving behind Yash’s KGF: Chapter 2. On its second Monday, the film added a solid figure to its total collection.
The most recent box office data for the movie was tweeted by trade analyst Taran Adarsh: “On [second] Saturday, #Pathaan demonstrates FANTASTIC GROWTH… It will be the FIRST outright #Hindi film to earn more than $400 million (Nett BOC)… #Dangal crossed, now aiming for #KGF2 in Hindi… [Week 2] Sat 22.50 cr, Friday 13.50 cr. Overall: 387 crore. Hindi, Indian business, Pathaan, Tamil, and Telugu Fri 50 lac, Sat 75 lac [Week 2] Total: $14.40 billion. In the following five days, Pathaan is anticipated to surpass KGF 2’s record and, if it maintains its current trajectory, rival Baahubali 2’s record of Rs. 511 crore in Hindi. The movie will surpass all previous Hindi box office records if it succeeds in its endeavour. Shah Rukh Khan last produced a hit of this magnitude with Chennai Express in 2013. Additionally, the spy thriller has been a worldwide success, grossing over Rs 780 crore, according to YRF’s social media account. In some ways, Pathaan has been a saviour for Bollywood, which had been written off during the previous two years due to boycott efforts and subpar movies. Only a few few movies were able to make an impact at the 2022

Shah Rukh was able to “forget the last four years” while he was back home thanks to Pathaan’s resounding success. During a recent media appearance, he thanked the audience for coming out in such large numbers to see Pathaan and said, “I just want to say there’s so much love from all sides and we can never show enough thanks. We appreciate you on behalf of the motion picture industry for revitalising movie theatres. The achievement is all the more impressive considering that SRK chose to conduct weekly Ask SRK sessions on Twitter rather than partake in the standard promotional activities like city tours and media appearances.
